Welcome to Ironworks Recording Studio. Situated on the edge of Snowdonia National Park near Caernarfon North Wales, Ironworks studio offers the perfect rural retreat for any recording artist. This brand new state of the art studio offers all the latest recording technology, inspiring environment and comfortable accomodation.
Set at a former steel fabrication workshop, the building has now been transformed into a brand-new recording studio. The studio took almost 18 months to design and build and has been constructed to the highest possible industry standard.
Ironworks offers a full range of services including live recording, audio mixing, audio mastering, audio restoration and even video. Kevin Jones is both the owner and in-house Engineer and Producer here at Ironworks recording studio. Kevin first studied sound Engineering at the age of nineteen in Manchester, before gaining work at some of Manchesters most prestigious studios. After several years of working as an Engineer in Manchester, Kevin eventually decided to return to Wales with the hope of owning and running his own studio. Back in 2007 Kevin began to design and eventually construct from the ground up on the previously held site of a steel fabrication workshop at Llanllyfni, a fully residential commercial recording studio. After 18 months of construction and in late 2009 the studio finally opened its doors to the public. Now in its 6th year the studio has gone from strength to strength.

The studio is based around the classic 16 channel Toft ATB desk, designed and built by the legendary Trident Engineer, Malcolm Toft. We also have a range of classic outboard gear including SSL and Universal Audio 610 preamps. Our monitoring consists of Yamahas and British built Roger Quested H208 speakers. We also house a large selection of microphones including Blue, Neumann, Oktava, Sennheiser, AKG, & Beyer. And as in any modern studio we also possess the best and biggest plug-in bundles available on our Protools and Logic Power Mac systems. Apart from the studio which houses a large control room, live room and vocal booth, the site also offers secure off road parking, kitchen, shower room, chill out room, and free access to high speed wireless internet. Although the studio does not have dedicated accommodation facilities we do offer the option of overnight sessions. We have a very comfortable living space with a large 52″ TV and living room, and a number of sofa beds for a quick nap between sessions. As the studio is located on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, you are only minutes away from spectacular scenic locations such as Dinas Dinlle beach and Cwm Dulyn reserve.
